Customer Reviews

Easy to setup, lots of fun! This has been awesome for our two sons, 8 and 3! Setup is very simple, once you have a level place to locate this. Slide is fully inflated within a matter of seconds. Husband said initial setup took a little bit of time to connect the house, but now that that step has been done, we just unroll the slide, plug in hose/electricity and boom. Instant fun. Sons played for hours today. We also had this set up for a recent party; all of the kids and lots of fun. Littles who didn t want to climb the slide played in the pool.Word of caution: wherever you put this, there is likely to be a considerable amount of water that gets splashed. We had ours at the top of a gradual hill and the runoff was intense.5Well worth the purchase for multiple uses all summer. But those pesky hose connections:(Inflated it quickly, and worked amazingly. We had more kids, and more weight on this thing then recommended. And it held up great. Only issue is the cheap hose connections . One cracked on the outside. I read previous reviews and knew they were cheap so I wrapped several of them with electrical tape prior to the first use. Those held up well, especially the ones above the slide that the kids would tend to grab with their hands. But one on the outside that was near the blower, sprung a leak and was spraying near the blower. Also the tubing going into the water gun would not screw in, and kept flying out. We made it work, and I see many uses ahead. We used it 3-4 hours yesterday, and they re already on it again today. It would ve gotten five stars all around had the hose connections not been so crummy .5Hours of entertainment! After a few years of cheap small pools we decided to try this water slide. The quality seems fairly good. The material on the slide is much heavier duty than the rest of the device. This is good because the slide will get the most abuse obviously. We have used the Hydra rush twice so far with 3 children ages 2, 6, 8 and it keeps them entertained for 3-4 hours at a time.Setup is simple and takes only a few minutes. Recommend buying a large tarp to add extra layer of protection. Between the ground and the inflatable.Storage requires more work. We empty the water and leave it inflated to dry as much as possible. Then deflate over night. Inflate the next morning to dry more and use a leaf blower to get any dry grass or dirt out of the pool area. I bought a large storage tote to store this in as well as 5 pounds of silica dessicant packets to ward off moisture and mildew issues.5We LOVE, LOVE our Blast Zone Hydro RushWe LOVE, LOVE our Blast Zone Hydro Rush. What a blast, it's actually MORE fun than we ever could have imagined. My hubby was so reluctant because of cost, then after only one weekend with it he said, "it's already paid for itself". We had it up for a beautiful sunny weekend, cooking out and playing with friends, it was such a huge hit. I will share, the stitching started to come undone on one corner (not a big deal), I emailed customer service and they took care of it FULLY in less than one week. They asked me to send a picture, then immediately approved a new one be shipped. I got a brand new one, I was just inquiring about a stitching kit or something...EXCEPTIONAL customer service....EXCEPTIONAL. I love this slide, love the company...highly recommend. It will be a HUGE hit at your house as well.5Cheap Summer fun that lasts! We are using this in our 3rd summer! It's held up well and hasn't faded at all. We live in Florida so we use this often when we don't feel like going to the beach. I have 5 kids ranging from 19 months upwards. The 19 month old loves it and my 13 year old can still go down it. It can hold me also. I'm 6'3 220, I only go down after a few beers lol!5Inflatable Fun for more than one year!~!We purchased this inflatable for our camp to use this summer. After purchasing another brand a few years ago and having it get ripped and constantly leak we wanted to make sure we used a different brand this time. After reading the reviews, we decided the brand we would go with was Blast Zone. Their reviews and customer service seemed to be listed as the best. I can honestly say, we have not been disappointed. The fabric for the inflatable is thicker than the fabric we had for the other inflatable. The seams are double stitched and have held up with even adults using the slide. It fills with water pretty quickly and we haven't had to use the stakes to keep it down.We did purchase a tarp to lie underneath as we have it sitting on the playground area and not grass at times. THis way we are protecting the bottom from rips and tears.I fully expect this inflatable to last through several summers of campers! The camp kids range in age from 3 years to 13 years of age. The adults sized up to 200Lbs. So I can tell you its strong and sturdy!5High quality and durable - Blast Zone is a superior inflatableMy previous inflatable was a Banzai product. It served us well for two years but then got chewed apart by mice over the winter. I went to repurchase but then started reading more about inflatables and saw how well Blast Zone rated and it seemed as if their customer service was excellent. I decided to spend a little extra money and give Blast Zone a try. I am so glad that I did - this product is well worth it and superior to our previous inflatable slide. The other slide always seemed a little unstable and needed water bags to anchor it. My husband could never go up our previous slide either - he would be way too heavy at 180 pounds. We were both able to slide down this Blast Zone slide and felt that the product was secure. It didn't tip or deflate, and no anchors necessary. The material is super durable as well. I also like that there is no netting at the top so bees don't fly in and get trapped. I almost wish I had bought a combo jumper/water slide - and I would have if I had known how durable and high quality this product is. I would recommend this product to anyone.5Blast Zone Memory Maker!!So, I'm one of those research oriented people, like, over the top. I spend countless hours reading reviews and best deciding which products to purchase. It can take me days, weeks or even months to agree on a purchase sometimes. In this review I'll explain why I selected this product and this company.Firstly, I'm a huge fan and customer of the company Blast Zone! I knew, if ever in the market for a new inflatable piece, Blast Zone was it. No question. My husband was much more skeptical; mostly because of the price, the simple fact that he despises inflatable products, the size and maintenance that he somehow knew he'd be mostly responsible for etc. With some convincing, we decided on the Blast Zome Hyrdo Blast Inflatable Slide for a combined Birthday gift for our boys.WHY I selected this particular slide? The main reason- the company! Having made purchases from Blast Zone before, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Once I knew I wanted a water slide and would be going through Blast Zone, I just had to figure out which one was best for our family.Though this product is not for commercial use, the materials are commercial grade vinyl, are double and quadruple stitched, warrantied, have a 200lb weight capacity, and are for ages 3+ which suited our needs. After comparing prices and sizes of Blast Zones water slides, this particular slide seemed most manageable for our family without compromising fun factor.SET UP- After receiving our new water slide, we carried everything outside which was heavy (60lbs). we decided on the flattest space to set it up so water could distribute evenly. We spent a few minutes looking over the instructions and making sure everything was done correctly. We set up the blower, and made sure the attached air funnel thing was straight and not being strained. We tied off designated pieces as instructed and ran a long extension cord from the house to power the blower. We then made sure the slide was within distance of the hose to run the water. When all was ready, we hit the switch on the blower and watched as the 8 foot tall slide came to life. After we staked the slide down, it was ready to use! Overall, the assembly/preparation was a breeze. The slide itself inflated in about one minute or so and overall prep time was about 10 minutes I'd say.OBSERVATIONS-Once the slide was up, I walked around to inspect everything and make sure all was functioning as should. The blower was a little bit loud but I knew it would be as I had purchased a bounce house that used one as well. The quality seemed excellent, very durable. The colors were bright and the little water canon was a big hit. At first I observed what I thought was a hole because of the bubbles and sound of leaking air from the stitching but as it turns out, this is normal because the slide isn't air tight and because the blower runs constantly. This is mentioned in the products description! Our boys weren't crazy about the little sprinkler hose that attaches over the archway at the peak of the slide, so instead we laid the hose on the slide to wet the slide enough for the kids to have some fun. We also noticed that the little sprinkler hose was of lesser quality than we anticipated but functioned fine. The slide walls were strong and felt high enough so I didn't have to worry about the kids falling. The designated climbing wall held the kids well and was strong. The water did take forever to fill and was freezing but the kids didn't seem to mind much. The slide recommends one user at a time though I've had three little ones up there with no problem. Even my husband enjoyed a trip down the slide, and though he weighs more than the 100lb user weight limit, the slide held just fine.CONS- Anything notably negative really doesn't have to do with this company or the slide itself, mostly just the fact that it's inflatable and all things you'd expect pertaining to the inflatable factor such as: water doesn't warm up well, waste of water, no drain, risk of puncturing, blower is loud, requires blower when used, has to be taken down when not used, tedious clean up procedure to prevent mold, dead grass, limited use because of weather depending on where you live (I'm in Maine). things like that. I will say the bag the slide comes in was not the easiest to store the slide back into so we resorted to purchasing a large tote on wheels with handle. We found one at Walmart which fits everything perfectly and stores easily!TAKE DOWN- Lots of reviewers had a recurring complaint about mold build up after storing. Because we knew this ahead of time, we formulated a clean up plan. If I knew the weather was going to be nice, we'd unplug the blower, let the slide deflate and leave out to dry for a day or two then inflate again to better dry. Before stowing away, we were very careful to then dry every area of the slide with towels. My husband even utilized the blower itself as fan to help dry. Even after we thought it was dry, we'd let it sit out another hour or so, or sometimes over night. We used our own discretion. After our first summer, we stowed the slide away for the winter in the large tote we bought separately but were unsure what the results would be when we brought the slide back out the following spring. Much to our surprise, NO MOLD, like at all!! It is possible to prevent it, you just need to really take care of it and dry properly. This takes time!CONCLUSION- To give you an idea how great this slide, my husband, the resister of all things inflatable said to me after only out first use with the slide, that just In that one afternoon, he felt we had received our money's worth! I sure felt good about that. This is our second summer with the slide and no problems what so ever!Great buy, money well spent! Our children as well as others have enjoyed hours of fun on the slide and has been a great alternative for beach or pool trips. The quality is excellent. The rounded design at the bottom of the slide isn't my favorite because water splashes out and pools up outside of it, but pay attention to pictures and videos to help you decide if it's right for you. Clean up SUCKS but if you want it to last, take care of it and it will provide years of fun! With the pictures I've provided, you can easily see what this slide has provided for our family; that is countless smiles, infectious giggles, and memories of my boys I'll cherish forever!!4Review from an Owner of 4 Years.I ve owned this water slide for 4 years now. I ve had to replace the fan once, but otherwise it s still in great shape despite my two kids using it often throughout the long Florida warm season (in fact, I ve never even needed to patch it). Having set it up for countless parties and events, I can tell you it s a kid-pleaser from ages 2-12. I ve literally forgone putting a pool into my backyard because I don t think my kids would enjoy it as much. If I were to make one recommendation it would be to add a plug at the bottom to let the water out more easily. Great quality. Excellent entertainment value. A highly recommended purchase.5Fun but plastic hose breaks fastI'm torn on this product! It's an amazing slide! BUT the water lines are already completely broken! I purchased in April, first used April 28, and by July 2 I had to tape the first line together. Now all the lines (where they are cuppled with the hose and the joints are busted. For the money I paid I really hoped to make it through a full summer if not more than one.3
