Customer Reviews

Lovely and Great QualityStory cards are always requested in our home. I love the setting and crafting stories for my kids. I look forward to when my young children begin telling me their own stories. The cards are good quality as long as the children are not too rough with them. 5Helped my shy nephew come out of his shell.I have a nephew who has a bad home life, so he's very shy. He's not use to being listened too, and so he lacks confidence. (He's 5, by the way). For example: If I asked him to tell me a story, he responds with 'I can't, I don't know any'. And when he tries he would stop half sentence, second guessing himself, and shut down again. This game really helped him out. It's just cards, but it's a great guide to story telling. At first, he was hesitant to play. But the illustrations on the cards made it easy for him to add at least one sentence to the story we were creating using the cards. And now? Well, he just told me about how the witch stole the frog in the bag and the fairy appeared and battled the witch until she was trapped into a bottle and the frog was freed to turn into the magic king again. :) I say that's a darn good improvement. 5Love these cards.I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and we have had a hard time finding boardgames both can play. I really love this card set. Its fun, but not difficult to understand, look at the next picture and connect the story. We only have a few instances where we have a hard time connecting the story, so we allow a few "passes" or I make suggestions. We also play "pick 5 cards", "sort them to tell a story", and make up a few other games. We will be purchasing others as Christmas gifts for other young ones, I think adding a small finger or handpuppet with, since the cards are small. 5Kids can grow with this game, keeps attentionThe Easter bunny ordered this from Amazon Prime just in time for the Easter basket for my niece. We played three games of this today. She is four and has a hard time staying still (like any four year old!), but these kept her attention for almost an hour! She kept reverting back to the previous two stories, so we had to remind her it was a new story. Her grandma got her the robot version of this game as well. I think she ll get at least 3 years out of these. 5Wonderful Teaching Aid!Due to my husband losing his job, I recently decided to home school my preschool aged daughter to save money. I spent what I would have spent on one months worth of preschool tuition and bought a huge amount of teaching aids (all tax deductible, I might add). These made it into the mix and have been well worth it!!! They are fun, easy to use, and really inspire a kids creativity! In fact, I nanny and home school two of the kids along with my daughter and they both love these as well! There are several other eeBoo "Tell Me A Story" card lines that I may consider purchasing as well. The kids love picking cards and using the pictures to let their imaginations run wild as they tell stories! I love how it helps them flex their creative muscles and learn several other really useful skills during the day! By far, our "story time" is one of the favorites of the kids I teach and mine too, thanks to these cards! 5Lots of excellent fun packaged neatly in a small box.My granddaughter age 5 loves these cards. This is our second set after more than a year with the first set - which is still complete and in great shape thanks to the excellent storage box. We've played the games with 2-4 players as suggested, but have evolved with the first set to story telling where the two of us draw a card then build on the others explanation as the story moves along in often very imaginative ways. Useful both for quiet afternoon story time or at bedtime. Highly recommended item as it's well made and encourages creative play. 5Tons of fun. If you struggle to spend time with your ...Tons of fun. If you struggle to spend time with your preschooler in ways that don't make you want to pull out your hair (I am so sick of wearing Elsa's crown, right?) then this is a great "game." You hand the child cards, that's it. You can do it random or peek and pick the one you want to give her. Here's how we play: I show her the first card at the same time I say, "Once upon a time there was a....." She supplies the rest. I draw another and say, "Oh no, then what happened?" I keep doing that until she runs out of steam. "Do you want to tell another one?" She usually gets through 2-3, 10 card stories before she says, "That's enough."You can make the cards come in a particular order to make the story more coherent, but we like it wild. We love to see what "happens" in her story when she gets them out of order: princess, donkey, and then the message in a bottle, and a cat... 5eeBoo never failsEverything we get from eeBoo is always a great quality and these are no different. I was hesitant to get this at first because I have little boys but they absolutely love them and they pair perfectly with our Fairy Tale themed morning basket. 5Super funThis card game is soo much fun. My daughter and I love playing it. The only thing I would say is that it is easy to fall into the same story..with variations each time since the cards seem to skew heavily toward the princess and the prince getting together and being married. That would be my only small complaint. For a little girl that is fine though. There are some nice unseamly and cute characters but sometimes it's slightly hard to work them in. It is a great imagination exercize though. We also got the circus version..animal circus I believe. We have yet to play these ones but it seems fun and I hope the cards allow for a little more variation in outcomes. It could just be us limiting ourselves with the story lines..it's hard to know!!! 5Great way to encourage imaginationMy four-year-old niece loved these on her first try. Her mom said she told a five-minute story the first time they played - about a princess (her currently fascination). She's imaginative and active anyway; the cards just gave her a prompt to create her own story. I'd recommend these for children 4+. 5
